How the examples are checked

The site has 9 tricks, 15 deal scores, 6 declaration examples and 6 bidding sequences. Each one is calculated twice before publication:

  • by the app's engine itself, read without being modified: allowed cards, winner and value of a trick, score of a deal, declarations, bids accepted or refused;
  • by a second implementation of the rules, specific to the site, based on the text of the rules.

Both results must match what is displayed. The check also verifies that the cards in an example are all different, that the cards of the two teams add up to the total for the variant (152 points with a trump), and that the figures and labels quoted are those of the app.

Tips and regional variants are presented separately, as habits or agreements, never as rules. Found a mistake? Write to us via the contact page.
